Located in Sarasota,
Florida, the Dimage Club consists of members devoted to learning more
about all aspects of photography and digital imaging.
At our monthly meetings, members and guests can mingle and get the chance to share information on a variety of related topics. Meetings begin with a brief question and answer session where we discuss new equipment or troubleshoot problems a member may be having. Photoshop and Photoshop Elements tips
are a part of the evening so members are always learning new techniques for improving their digital images.
Our monthly photo assignments encourage members to take pictures related to a particular theme. Members can either submit their still images for large screen display or they can assemble their images in a short slide show. Pro Show Gold is an excellent program to make slide shows.
The goal of Dimage is to improve the photographic and digital imaging techniques of its members. Members range from people who have just bought their first digital camera to professional photographers. There is content for all levels of expertise and we have fun doing it. We also sponsor field trips several times throughout the year to local area attractions of photographic interest.
Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, from 6:15 to 8:45 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 4880 Fruitville Road, Sarasota. Doors open about 5:45 so come and talk to other members before the meeting. Another member benefit is the ability to bring photographic items they have for sale. We also have a display table for members to bring special photos to share.
Guests are encouraged to attend a Dimage meeting to get a feel for what we are about and meet our members. After that, a one year membership is only $30.00 for an individual or $40.00 per family living in the same household. You can download a membership form and either bring it with you to a meeting or mail it to our treasurer. (see contact info) You also have the option to pay online through PayPal or with your credit card. You don't need a PayPal account to use your credit card.
