Located in Sarasota, Florida, the Dimage group consists of over 700 members devoted to learning more about all aspects of photography and digital imaging.

At monthly meetings, members and guests get the chance to share information on a variety of topics.

A studio set-up is available at each meeting, with different subject matter ranging from simple still lives to animals. This provides members a forum in which to discuss lighting, exposure, composition, and most importantly a chance to practice their photography.

Meetings begin with a brief Q & A session, where we share information about new equipment or troubleshoot problems a member may be having. Photoshop and Photoshop Elements tips are always part of the evening, so members are always learning new techniques for improving their digital images.

Monthly assignments encourage members to take pictures related to a particular theme. Members can either submit their still images for large screen display, or they can assemble their images in a short slide show.

The goal of Dimage is to better the photographic and digital imaging techniques of its members. Dimage sponsors field trips several times throughout the year to local area attractions of photographic interest. Also, Dimage sponsors an annual dinner complete with photo contest, where members can enjoy an evening of relaxation and conversation with fellow members.

Guests are encouraged to attend Dimage meetings. Meetings are typically held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, from 6:15 pm to 8:45 pm, in the auditorium of the Knights of Columbus.
