How to Submit Slide Shows for Monthly Projects

We have also found that slide show presentations that are created with the executable .EXE format have the most success for compatibility. Programs such as ProShow Gold, Mediashow, Pictures to Exe, Photo Jam, save in this format. Power Point shows with the .PPT extension must be filed in a separate directory and we have missed them in the past because of this. The majority of shows presented by members are created with ProShow Gold, so the flow has been consistent. If you create a show for presentation you will save it with a different file name than the one used for Images shown above. Using the same name of John Smith you would add the project assignment behind your last name and first initial. Using future assignments of Self Portrait, Water, Sports, Still Life , Festival, Great Outdoors your file names should look like this:

SmithJselfportrait.exe
SmithJwater.exe
SmithJsports.exe
SmithJstilllife.exe
SmithJfestival.exe
SmithJgreatoutdoors.exe

When your images and shows are submitted this way I don't have to do anything to them. They are instantly ready for display. The club computer has the following: 3 1/2 " floppy drive, CD Rom drive, Compact Flash card reader, Smart card reader and a Zip disk to input your files.

Also, because we have such great member participationin, PLEASE be considerate of time and keep your show's length to 90 seconds. That's one and a half minutes!

And remember, a voice over in your show gets you and extra door prize ticket!

Images and shows will only be shown for members who are in attendance that evening.
