Historic Spanish Point
Visitors to Historic Spanish Point will find 5,000 years of history on the 30-acre site overlooking Little Sarasota Bay, from a prehistoric shell mound to a homestead house, citrus packinghouse, chapel and pioneer cemetery depicting Florida's pioneer life, to the formal gardens created in the early 1900s by influential landowner Mrs. Potter Palmer.
Historic Spanish Point is located at 337 N. Tamiami Trail in Osprey.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
